"A Sunday Convocation"
Fundraiser at Willow Creek Church
Rep. Ken Green was greeted by the 20,000 membership at Willow Creek Church the largest church in the nation. Arriving in a modest lincoln town car he steps out and looks around shaking the hands of the ushers and greeters. Security staff flanks him as he walks down the isles of the church shaking hands for a while and moving on. Eventually he makes it to the podium where Sr. Pastor Bill Hybel's greets him. A hug is exchanged between him and the pastor before he greets the other guest pastors assembled. Rev. Falwell, Bishop Jakes, Rod Parsley, Joel Osteen, Rick Warren and others.
Sitting down he listens to the Willow Creek childrens choir sing an opening song..
The Song..
Jesus loves me! This I know,
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong;
They are weak, but He is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.
Jesus loves me! This I know,
As He loved so long ago,
Taking children on His knee,
Saying, “Let them come to Me.”
Jesus loves me still today,
Walking with me on my way,
Wanting as a friend to give
Light and love to all who live.
Jesus loves me! He who died
Heaven’s gate to open wide;
He will wash away my sin,
Let His little child come in.
Jesus loves me! He will stay
Close beside me all the way;
Thou hast bled and died for me,
I will henceforth live for Thee.
After the song an opening prayer was offered by Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church..
Ken arose from his seat and walked over to the podium. He smiles and looks at the twenty thousand member congregation. "Praise God everyone! Praise God, i am so thankful to be here. I want to thank Lela my wife for being here supporting me. I want to thank and honor Bill Hybels for having me and honor every pastor on this stage. I am here because were under siege. The people of Israel, GOD'S PEOPLE are under attack. Iran wants to wipe God's people off the face of the map. And though we know the lord is ever vigilant in watching Jerusalem, we the land of the free must support our ally. The Democrats dont want to go to war. They say were being drastic. I say they are being cowards! They are currently the minority. We need to ensure that it stays that way. These ungodly men and women want to approve abortion, they say its a womans right to murder. To kill life that God has ordained. They want to take away the sanctity of marriage and give it to all. They want to disgrace and blemish the Bible, and everything our forefathers stood for. Dont let them do it! I am calling on every member of this church for a thirty dollar donation. Its alot to some and i belive God will bless you for it. Help me help you keep God and his principles and morals in our government! Thank You!"
Ken stood and shook hands some more and watched as campaign contributions were collected. When finished he thanked everyone again and began going into the crowd shaking hands. After shaking hands for about an hour and a half he waved again and headed out to his vehicle...

"Dear Lord, thank you for this day. Thank you for this great assembling of your saints. Thank you for the ability to vote and choose our government. We thank you that we live in a great place such as America, we thank you that you have given your son and his life for us. We pray that we hear our brother and listen and heed in Christ's name, Amen."
