Mr. Speaker,
For too long, Medicare has drained our society of its resources without doing what it was intended to do: efficiently provide healthcare to the American people.
President Warder's plan to replace Medicare with Universal Healthcare will ensure that all those who want healthcare coverage shall receive it. Moreover, it is efficient, effective and exemplary.
This is not a wish-list item, it is a necessity...rather, a requirement for our nation. The Healthcare savings accounts will place the power in the hands of the individual, instead of the government.
As I always say, Government should only do a few things, and do those things well. One of those things is NOT choosing your doctor.
Too often, the government makes mistakes. While Medicare was a good idea, it was a drain on funding and resources. It was ineffective at reaching its goals.
The President's plan for Healthcare will provide what America needs and I want to assure the American public that this is in their best interest.
