Goodwin holds luncheon with members of aerospace industry minor fundraiser
Representative Hank Goodwin (R-KS) attended a fundraising luncheon with representatives from several major aerospace companies at the Scotch and Sirloin restaurant in Wichita. Joining Goodwin were representatives from Boeing, Raytheon, Cessna, and Bombardier. These companies all have major centers in Wichita and owe their origins to that city, a fact which has given Wichita the nickname of "The Air Capital."
At the luncheon, Goodwin spoke of the promising prospects ahead for the aerospace industry. He cited the pro-business environment created by the Warder administration and the current congress, with tax cuts and deregulation helping to spur industry. He also referred to the increased funding for military technology, which would rely on these companies to produce the next generation of military hardware to keep America's defenses strong and assure that they could always face any challenges.
Goodwin ended the lunch by speaking with each representative as to what they viewed as the future of the aerospace industry and what changes they believed would help to keep America's aerospace companies strong.
