NYSE Executive Luncheon
The Ritz-Carrolton
New York City, NY
After ringing the morning bell at the New York Stock Exchange, the board of governors held an informal private luncheon in his honor.
"My friends, it is about that time fiscal responsibility reached Washington." McLaughlin told the board as they casually discussed fiscal policy.
"I could not be more proud of the work that the GOP in the House had done to get the budget passed. We decreased the decifit, cut spending on irresponsible programs and increased tax relief to all Americans." he continued. "Don't get me wrong. There is work to be done. Many more programs need to shape up, or will be shipped out. Moreso, tax relief is made permanent. More Americans will now be able to invest into our economy....into our stockmarket. Plus, under the President's direction, we have cut Medicare's irresponsible fiscal policies, opting to plan a more desired, applicable and efficient healthcare program. Its scope is a better fit to our nation's needs and is more fiscally sound.
Finally, we have a Congress that is moving in the right direction, in regards to fiscal policy. This is so important for our economic growth, and our strength in this globalized market.
If the GOP can increase its size in the House, next year I plan to increase tax relief for all Americans, so they can have more money to invest. I plan to increase tax incentives to reduce our nations' depedence on foreign oil and entice our companies to switch into alternative fuels.
Furthermore, I want to expand free and fair trade with our neighbors to the South. I want to encourage them to trade with us without barriers, so that our goods can find homes in more markets, which will also help to secure our neighbors against anti-American sentiments and terrorism.
These actions are imperative to our thriving economy, and do to this we need to increase the numbers of the Republican Party in the House, where the fiscal policy of the United States begins.
Thank you all so much for this lovely luncheon, I am truly honored to be here with you."
