Senator James Uxbridge on his way back to Washington D.C. spoke to a first a hostile lunch gathering of The U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Comm rice in Dallis Tx among his remarks...
Cat calls and boos
" Thank you for letting me speak before you today, I am not here to condemn anyone who is looking to find a better way of life or food to feed there kids"...
Less Boos
" In fact I believe that Mexico loss is our gain!" " A man wanting to work hard ands provide for his family is what this great county is all about, My father like many of yours came here for the great opportunity we offer!"
Some clapping...
" I am tired of seeing illegals treated as trash many of them living in housing I would not put a cow! Why because in America they have a chance to see there kids educated and be able to obtain the wealth denied them by the corrupt Mexican Government."
" I am tired of hearing stories of how many of them are paid less then minimum wage and often must work longer hours and in unsafe ways"
" I believe that we must look into finding ways to help Illegals become U.S. Residents if not Citizens, such as:
1) join the Military for say 6 years become a citizen as we did in the 1950's
2) work as a legal resident for say 10 years become a citizen
3) Family members here now would be able to sponsor other members to allow them in as residents.
Clapping
" I also believe we must put pressure on the Mexican Government to meet the needs of her folk, it is the basic right of everyone in the world to have good government of and by the people! " If the Mexican Government will not change we need to help the poor of Mexico change it!, I call upon all of us here in this room to remember the heroes of the Mexican Revolution such as Pancho Villa Centaur of the North, EMILIANO ZAPATA and others who fought for freedom. I myself will meet with any from Mexico to aid in this quest." Viva Mexico! Viva Freedom!
Standing ovation
