For your orientation:
1. Start a thread titled, "Campaigning: Sen. Alpha Beta."
2. In your campaign thread, begin writing up your events (major event 500 words, minor event 250 words).
3. Pay for each event, i.e. list the cost of the event under each event.
4. You get 5 minor and 1 major events per campaign week.
5. You can campaign anywhere. The better you do and the more you spend the more representatives from your ideological group will get elected.
6. And when they're elected they'll be in YOUR coalition. You made 'em, you can break 'em.
IMPORTANT: How do I get money for campaigning?
The DNC/RNC chair is responsible for assigning money to all of the Democrats/Republicans. He will distribute the money, then when you get it from him, you can spend it however you want. If you don't like the decisions the chair is making, then impeach him and elect a new one.
When does the campaigning start? Two weeks prior to the election. In this case. January 1, 2006.
