When questioned by reporters whether he had read the article in the Seattle Times which referred to him as a "ancient relic of the South", the Vice President commented "I'm sorry, I don't read the Times because if I wanted to hear something less biased, a more objective source would've been Michael Moore."

Edgar Oswald was recently quoted as saying, "Iran's military posturing and is deplorable. We will continue to pursue all diplomatic options via the UN and other world allies until all avenues of peaceful resolution are exhausted. The President is working hard to protect American lives and fledgling democracies in the Middle East. Our country must remain strong and vigilant in a world filled with so much hate and violence. I commend him for his actions."

The Vice President's Press Secretary says, "The Vice President would like to express his deep sympathy for the loss of life on the US-Mexican border and his prayers will continue to be with the families of those that were needlessly killed."
