Senator Williams deplores Syrian involvement in Iranian nuclear posturing
"This is simply a situation the United States cannot accept. Nuclear weapons in the Middle East in the hands of a theocratical dictatorships bent on the destruction of an entire population cannot be tolerated.
As such I call on President Warder to intervene by any means necessary to restore stability and balance to this powder-keg region as soon as possible"

Senator Williams applauds Smart Farming Act
"The Smart Farming Act has passed the Senate with flying colours and as the Senate Majority Leader it makes me very proud to have had a direct hand in the passage of so important a bill.
The Smart Farming Act provides for important reforms to agricultural subsidies to move support away from agribusiness and towards government cooperation with small and family farms. This will aid crop yields and quality whilst at the same time freeing up the resources of the American tax payer for other projects."

Senate Majority Leader Owen Williams calls for tough stance against Iranian powerplays:
"This is simply an unacceptable state of affairs in the Middle East. The thought of an Iranian nuclear weapon is not a tolerable situation when viewed through the prism of our national interest. I urge all members of Congress to take a tought stance against Iranian posturing and call on the House to speedily pass the Use of Force Resolution to allow the President to take action against Iran and Syria.
Furthermore I deplore the complicity of the People's Republic of China in these events. The PRC has quite simply overstepped itself in the Middle East and it's support for Iran will not be tolerated."

Senate Majority Leader Williams votes Aye on gang violence prevention
"Moments ago I voted Aye on a bill that I introduced to the Senate, the Gang-Violence prevention Act. This bill is a vote for the preservation of life for the inhabitants of depressed inner-city areas across the nation. It will work to provide oppurtunity to areas afflicted by gang violence whilst at the same time provide for the rebuilding of relationships between police and the community by providing heavily for non-lethal force.
In addition I would like to publicly thank Minority Leader Shea for his support on this bill. We clearly have our differences when it comes to the economy but we are both committed to the eradication of gang-violence and for that I can only respect and admire the man for being able to drop any partisan pretences and see through to the heart of the issue."
